  2. Signing a preliminary agreement will include the exact features of the property, the asking price, the date and exact amount of the down payment and the date of signing the sales contract.
  3. A Power of Attorney mandate to our lawyer is necessary in order to:
  • Apply for a Greek tax number.
  • Open a bank account in a Greek bank (documents required: Copy of passport, copy of Greek tax number, testimony of profession, proof of permanent address).
  • Settle the payment of the transfer tax for the property acquisition.
  • Proceed with the necessary, legally binding actions, in order for the purchase of the property to be completed, including the signing of the transfer contract before the notary public.
  • Complete and submit the file for the Residence Permit to the authorities.
  1. Proceed with the property transfer. Before the transfer:
  • The buyer will get a full due diligence report of the property.
  • The buyer will transfer the relevant total costs of the purchase to his/hers personal account in Greece, including taxes and relevant expenses.
  • The buyer will pay the transfer taxes.
  1. During the transfer:
  • The purchase contract will be signed before a notary public.
  • The payment will be made by a bank transfer.
  1. After the transfer:
  • The new title deed will be submitted to the Land registry office.
  1. All relevant documentation required for the residence permits will be submitted.
